This policy explains what data Student Loan Curve collects, why, and how it is used. Student Loan Curve is operated as a personal project based in the United Kingdom and is subject to UK GDPR.
1. Who we are

2. Data we collect
When you use the calculator (no account required)
We do not collect any personal data. Calculator inputs (balance, salary, plan type) are stored only in your browser's local storage and are never sent to our servers.
When you create an account
If you sign in using Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, or email magic link, we receive your name and email address from that provider. This is the minimum required to create your account.
When you save a calculator run
We store the inputs and results of that specific run (balance, salary, plan type, repayment projection) against your account so you can retrieve it later.

We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or advertising. We do not sell your data to any third party.
4. How data is stored
Account data and saved runs are stored using Supabase, a managed database platform. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is restricted by Row Level Security policies so that only you can read your own saved runs. Supabase's infrastructure is hosted in the EU.
5. Third-party sign-in providers
If you sign in via Google, Facebook, or LinkedIn, those providers share your name and email with us under their own terms. We do not receive your password or any other account data from those providers. You can review their privacy policies here:
6. Cookies and sessions
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in between visits. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not track you across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies.
7. How long we keep your data
Your account and saved runs are kept for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual saved runs from your dashboard at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at zubair.nazir.arshed@gmail.com and we will action it within 30 days.
8. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Object to processing
To exercise any of these rights, email zubair.nazir.arshed@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
